Having a strong collective voice helps to raise the profile of our sector. We aim to ensure that the needs of the sector are represented at a policy and decision making level across North Yorkshire.
We ensure that the sector has representatives in the right place at the right meetings so that your views are heard. We also make sure that you are kept informed about discussions which impact on the sector.
The Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector has representatives on many of the committees and Boards in North Yorkshire which have the potential to impact on your work, income and funding. We’ve summarised these into the following areas (these pages will take you on to the Forum’s old website for now):
Community First Yorkshire also represents the sector on the North Yorkshire and York Chief Executives Group.
North Yorkshire County Council is looking for voluntary and community representatives to help shape the strategic future of the sector in North Yorkshire.

VCSE organisations play an important part in delivering and supporting local services. Where important decisions are made about these services, the sector needs to ensure that its voice is heard.
We ensure that the needs and thoughts of the VCSE sector are represented and that information about consultations which could have an impact on the sector and the people it serves are made available to voluntary organisations.
