This year’s Calor Rural Community Fund opens on 20 March with £50,000 and 21 individual prize pots of £1,000 to £5,000 for projects improving local life and demonstrating impact and reach, sustainability and originality.
Last year’s winning projects included a swing for a community park, a new piano for a community choir, books for a rural school library and the installation of fibre broadband into an off-grid village.
Past submissions have included funding for community centres, village halls and sporting venues, as well as initiatives to support local schoolchildren and the elderly.
Deadline: 30 April.
