Through the Community Makes Us campaign, members of the Connection Coalition are celebrating the ways people have been coming together during Covid-19 crisis.
So much of our lives have been off-limits and so many of us have experienced huge loss. During this time the small ways we have been able to connect with each other have meant more than ever. More of us have been remembering to look out for each other, to take care of one another, to be there for one another. People have seen the importance of our communities and have put extra effort into preserving old and building new connections. This has been a chance to really change the way we see each other, the places we live and how we each fit in. It’s a chance to build stronger, kinder, better-connected communities. It’s a change we need, not just for now, but for good.
Community First Yorkshire and The Loneliness Campaign North Yorkshire are proud to be members of this coalition. We want to continue to build on the networks which have been made across North Yorkshire, inspiring neighbourhoods to continue with the connections that have been created, amplifying the local stories and supporting communities to take part in wider actions . Follow us on Twitter for updates on the campaign and other campaigns across the county.

Let’s remember that we are the ones that make our community. And our community makes us.
