Essential Life Skills fund for the North Yorkshire Coast Opportunity Area has been launched.
£820k will be invested to support young people in Scarborough, Whitby and Filey participate in regular extra-curricular activities. Funding will be prioritised for those projects that increase participation from young people from lower social economic groups and those who might not usually take part in activities.
North Yorkshire County Council’s North Yorkshire Opportunity Area Board would like to hear from organisation that will provide new, or significantly extended access to, varied provision across the area. Supported projects will need to demonstrate that they will have an impact on the development of skills in a range of areas and will make a positive contribution to the social mobility of participants.
