Settle Craven VCS Network event
March 15 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
This network event is FREE and open to any member of a voluntary group or organisation who is active in the Craven District in a paid or unpaid capacity. This time we are meeting in Settle as we try to move this quarterly network event around the District.
Network events are jointly organised by Community First Yorkshire and NYCC Stronger Communities and aim to offer local organisations the opportunity to come together to hear guest speakers on topical subjects, share news, good practice and to discuss local needs and issues affecting the sector.
At this event there will be presentations from Age UK South Lakeland about the “Compass E-Hub – an innovative way of linking the voluntary and community sector, social care and health together to provide a connected and holistic service for the residents of the Craven District”.
This is an ideal opportunity for representatives to meet up with other local organisations who are making a difference across the Craven District and offers information exchange and a chance to catch up on news with other participants.
The session will be facilitated by Mark Hopley from Community First Yorkshire and Marion Tweed Rycroft from NYCC Stronger Communities. Our guest speaker will be Hugh Tomlinson from Age UK South Lakeland.
Light refreshments will be served from 09:30am and there will be a range of printed resources and leaflets to take away. Please bring along any news or new opportunities to share with the sector.
A former participant said, “Very informative. I learned a lot and would like to know when the next network meeting is.”
