Harrogate: North Yorkshire Winter Health Strategic Partnership – Annual Conference 2018

The Winter Health Strategic Partnership formally invites you to our 2018 Annual Conference at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Thursday 11 October 2018, 09.30 – 13.30 (registration 09.00 – 09.30).

This years’ conference will be sharing and discussing the activities and developments of the North Yorkshire Winter Health Strategy 2015-20 since its Launch in March 2016 and identify how we can continue to find solutions to tackle avoidable ill-health and excess winter deaths. Speakers include presentations from the Warm & Well in North Yorkshire team, highlighting the work-taking place with partner organisations to help vulnerable people stay warm and well, and to reduce fuel poverty.

Also included will be group discussion workshops on the progress of the objectives and how we can continue to develop the key priorities of the strategy. The input and outcomes of the discussions will be used to build and develop a two-year Action Plan.

Breakout group discussions will cover the following:

Group 1 – Improve cold homes and energy efficiency.

Group 2 – Flu vaccination uptake.

Group 3 – Falls prevention.

Group 4 – NHS Winter planning/urgent care.

Group 5 – Awareness raising and identifying vulnerable people.
