Selby: General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) Training

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into effect from May 2018 and established seven key principles for data protection and the approaches to data management, which should lie at the heart of an Organisation’s approach to the management, processing and security of personal data.
The GDPR briefing aims to provide an overview of GDPR and the potential impacts for all Organisations, developing an understanding of the policies, procedures and data processing/management requirements under the Regulations.
The course covers any updates since last year, considers recent legal cases and their implications, and provides an insight into additional guidelines for the provision of online services to data subjects, due to be implemented during 2019.
Who should attend?
The course is of benefit to Trustees, Managers and Data Controllers, as a refresher or for those who are new to their role and responsibilities.

- The policies and procedures to ensure compliance
- The seven data protection principles you must comply with when processing personal data
- The rights of data subjects with regard to their personal data
