During the coronavirus, Two Ridings Community Foundation has awarded a staggering 137 grants totalling £300,000 to local charities. 40% of these awards have gone to groups in North Yorkshire.
Two Ridings Community Foundation (TRCF) distributes grants and other support to help improve lives and communities across North and East Yorkshire. The organisation is a hub for donors to channel funds directly to local, grassroots charities. Its aim is simple but vital – to raise and distribute funds fairly and efficiently.
Right now at a time of crisis this is even more vital. TRCF is the local distribution partner in North and East Yorkshire for funds raised by the National Emergencies Trust (NET). With support from NET, existing donors and new supporters TRCF has raised over £1.75m to support charitable organisations with the immediate response to the challenges facing people and communities affected by coronavirus and also to help sustain key community organisations through the next few difficult months when other funding sources are less certain.
