Do you have any volunteering opportunities available for groups of Junior soldiers aged 16 – 17?
The Army Foundation College in Harrogate has 198 Junior soldiers (aged between 16 and 17) who are undertaking the Duke Of Edinburgh Award. To achieve their award before they graduate in August they would like to offer their time to help in the local community.
Ideally they are looking for volunteering opportunities for groups of up to 48 that can be broken down into groups of no less than 12 Junior soldiers to take place on weekends, if possible within one hour’s drive of Harrogate. The Army will provide transport, supervision, food and refreshments. An organisation would just need to provide technical supervision if required, access to any tools, PPE and an environment that considers Covid safety; preferably outdoors.
If you have any opportunities, however big or small, please get in touch with Andrew Clayton DofE Coordinator/Administrator, on 01423 813216 extension 4216 andrew.clayton@pearson.com
They would love to hear from you!
