Do you have young people at home who would like to contribute to a national campaign? Do you know about the #LonelyNotAlone campaign?
Part of the Let’s Talk Loneliness campaign and first launched in September 2019, the #LonelyNotAlone campaign aims to reduce stigma associated with loneliness in young people. It recognises that lots of young people feel lonely, but only a quarter of them are confident talking about it and less than a third would be comfortable asking for help if they needed it. With the added pressures that Covid-19 is putting on younger people, the organisers still want to go ahead with this year’s campaign but they need some help!
A group of young people came together in April and drew up some draft ideas, but they want to hear what others think. If you are a professional working with young people or have young people at home who would like to give feedback on the planned campaign, then follow this link to a short, easy survey. If you would like to know more about the campaign or to view their character videos, why not have a look at their website.
