Community-led housing is on the rise and is gaining momentum. More and more people are taking the housing situation into their own hands and building the homes their communities need. Following the Government’s commitment to invest £300m into community-led housing and wider interest from funders, lenders and councils alike, the sector is now set to expand.
On 27 November 2017 the first ever national conference on Community-led housing will be held in London. Bringing together more than 300 people involved in community-led housing groups from across the country, as well as local authorities, housing associations and built environment professionals, this is a great opportunity to find out more about the sector and consider how you can play a role.
There will be a range of practical workshops on early stage and development finance, finding sites and running a group, and plenary debates on the future of the movement.
