West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership (WY&H HCP) have recently announced their Health Inequalities Grant Fund 2020 to help reduce the gap in health equality across the area. Details of this opportunity can be downloaded here.
£450,000 of funds has been made available to voluntary and community organisations across the Craven and Harrogate districts to help tackle the impact on people’s health affected by Covid-19. In particular, WY&H HCP are looking for innovative and sustainable community support for people who are worst affected by the impact of the pandemic. For example, those who live alone and cannot access social activities, or people whose mental health and financial circumstances have changed significantly due to the pandemic. The aim is to also share good practice across the area, which is one of the very reasons WY&H HCP exists. Collaborative voluntary and community sector (VCS) approaches are being encouraged in each district.
A Zoom meeting has been organised by the VCS Alliance for the Bradford and Craven Districts and more information is available by emailing info@bradfordvcsalliance.org.uk. Zoom engagement events for the Craven and Harrogate Districts are currently being organised by Community First Yorkshire and more information will be available in our enews, which you can receive by signing up here.
