Voluntary sector organisations in North Yorkshire have two places on each of the two North Yorkshire County Council Overview and Scrutiny Committees – Young People Overview & Scrutiny Committee and Care and Independence Overview & Scrutiny Committee.
The voluntary sector representatives have a key role in ensuring that the views of voluntary organisations and the people they work with and for, are heard. The Overview and Scrutiny Committees advise on policy development and review service performance within the County Council.
The voice of the sector is valued by NYCC. The deadline for submitting nomination forms is Wednesday 26 July. Find out more information about the committee and the representative roles here.
