The Craven Community Champion Awards have now been taking place for seven years. They celebrate the achievements of outstanding local people and honour the District’s unsung heroes who go that extra mile to help others, and could not take place without the generous support of our award sponsors. In order to make the Awards a success we very much rely on you to nominate someone who you feel deserves to be recognised for their efforts.
If you know of an individual, a voluntary group or an organisation that is making an outstanding contribution, please show your appreciation by nominating them for an award. The deadline for receipt of nominations is midnight, 29 November 2018.
There will be one winner in each of the eight categories; the winners will be announced on Thursday 21 February at the Awards Ceremony to be hosted by the Coniston Hotel and Country Estate at Coniston Cold.
Everyone who has been shortlisted to receive an award will be invited to attend the Awards Ceremony.
Groups and individuals can be nominated in the following seven categories.
- Arts &Culture
- Greener Craven
- Sport & Recreation
- Health & Wellbeing
- Best Community Group
- Volunteer of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
The nomination must be received by Craven District Council by midnight on Thursday 29 November 2018.
