Utility Aid: getting the best energy deals

Utility Aid

Helping you manage your community venue’s energy bills

With many community venues and not-for-profit premises being hard hit by rising energy costs, it’s never been more important to find best energy prices you can.

We’re working with Utility Aid to help you find ways to save on your existing energy tariff, and more. Aimed primarily at village and community halls, this offer is also available to: Parish Council premises; church and faith buildings; pre-school buildings and other premises owned or managed by charities or not-for-profit organisations.

Who are Utility Aid?

Utility Aid is the UK’s leading energy broker for the charity and not-for-profit sector and we’re delighted to be working with them to help you access their services. As well as working with you to secure new contracts for your electric, gas, and water, Utility Aid can also help with supplier problems, inaccurate bills, give advice on renewable energy options, and smooth your journey to becoming ‘Net Zero’.

Community organisations working with Community First Yorkshire have access to Utility Aid’s Invoice Validation Service, often recouping hundreds of pounds from past bills if they find you’ve overpaid. Over £6 million has been recouped for Utility Aid customers already.

Why Utility Aid?

Utility Aid is working in partnership with Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) to help village halls reduce their running costs.

We are the ACRE Network member for North, South and West Yorkshire, so this is a natural fit for both us and Utilities Aid to support community venues.

EV Charging points

Utility Aid and RAW Charging are working together to assist customers with their EV Charging needs. They have a range of options ranging from fully funded to partially funded or outright purchasing. If you’d like to give your community a place to charge their electric vehicles whilst earning extra income, then email out to Emily Berry and Stephanie Steele to find out more.

Energy Audits on your building

If you are looking to start your journey to Net Zero then it is recommended that you have an audit on your building. If you are a small building, Utility Aid can offer you a Remote Discovery Document. This is a cost-effective report that allows organisations to make educated decisions on the implantation of energy-efficient measures that can help reduce energy consumption.

Utility Aid’s new Switching Site

Utility Aid understands that staff and volunteers alike are time-poor and with this in mind, they are making their services more accessible and compatible with flexi/volunteering hours. In October , they launched a new online switching service will enable users to get instant access to commercial utility quotations from a list of reliable credit-vetted suppliers at any time. The online service also includes a chat function where users can speak with one of Utility Aid’s Energy Specialists online between 9am-5 pm.
