Listen to ACRE’s (Action with Communities in Rural England) Jeremy Leggett on BBC Farming Today this morning discussing the ‘out of sight, out of mind’ difficulties faced by rural communities with the Cost of Living Crisis and suggesting rural proof solutions.

Jeremy explores concerns for village halls who are predicting a 400% increase in running costs, as well as how individuals living in rural areas face additional hikes in the cost of fuel (particularly oil) and food over and above those being felt by people living in urban areas.

As an ACRE network member, we’re following the week long series of interviews and insights into how rural communities and the people who live in them will cope with increased costs.
