Local community groups are encouraged to apply to the next round of Ryedale District Council’s Community Grant fund, with a closing date of 5 January 2018.
The Community Grant is open to any Ryedale community based organisation or group, for projects that make a positive impact on the community owned or managed facilities and activities in Ryedale, such as village halls, play areas and sports facilities as well as activities that support the local community.
“In the last round of grants, we were able to support 12 projects.” said Cllr Steve Arnold, Chair of the Grants Working Party, which recommends the grants. “The diversity of applications mirrored Ryedale’s wide range of community groups, from equipment for music groups, pre-schools, and sports clubs to support for volunteers in community libraries and for Carers. “
Barton Le Willows Village Hall has recently completed its refurbishment project and received a brand new extension and kitchen facilities for their hall.
