Suicide Prevention Grant Fund for VCSE organisations
Government funding will soon be available to support suicide prevention services. The funding will be an enormous help to voluntary sector organisations and community groups who provide vital help to people who are struggling with thoughts of suicide.
Smaller, community led organisations are being encouraged to apply for the £10m Suicide Prevention Grant Fund which is due to launch in England across 2023-24 to 2024-25.
Purpose of the fund
The fund aims to support the sector in:
- meeting increased demand caused by the pandemic and the cost of living crisis
- developing innovative preventative activities/services for people most at risk of suicide.
Guidance will be published shortly to help organisations apply to the grant. It will set out the eligibility criteria, objectives and what is required as part of the application process. Prospective applicants will also be able to attend webinars and get answers to their questions.
Please stay tuned for more information. Sign up to the Find a Grant portal, so that you can receive notifications once the fund is launched.
