The Big Lunch (6 – 7 June) is the UK’s thanksgiving weekend for neighbours and communities to get together and celebrate community connections. Now, while we might be physically distanced, we do not need to be socially distanced. This year the Eden Project are turning their annual event into a virtual one.
During the coronavirus pandemic we have seen communities pull together to help each other, but there are many who are even more isolated or concerned that a new found community spirit may not last. The Big Lunch is a chance to tackle loneliness in your community and cement and celebrate new connections. Take a look at their website for information, resources and ideas.
Our team on The Loneliness Campaign would love to hear your success stories too. You can email them on tlc@communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk
