North East & Yorkshire Thriving Communities update

31 May 2023

The latest Thriving Communities Network bulletin is available to read here and includes social prescribing news, developments and opportunities for the North East and Yorkshire.

Featured this month is a social prescribing project based in Selby, North Yorkshire who are taking an innovative and exciting new approach; news of the latest NASP campaign called ‘Social Prescribing and Me’; and a Social Prescribing Information Session taking place on 13 June.

A new website was recently launched which includes information and resources for the regional Thriving Communities programme, as well as a new link to the sign-up form to join the network. You can find out more about the North East and Yorkshire programme and the new mailing sign-up form here.

If you have questions about social prescribing, how it works, how it is funded, and who is involved in the North East, North Cumbria, and Yorkshire, don’t miss the informal Social Prescribing Information Session taking place on 13 June, 2.30pm to 3.30pm, online via Zoom. The event will be of particular interest to those representatives from the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector providing social prescribing activities.
