We are keen to hear about anything you are uncertain about and challenges you are facing currently or planning for post Brexit delivery of your services.
The Community Support and Volunteering service can help with all aspects of your preparations and depending on feedback we can look to have special briefings and workshop sessions. In addition, North Yorkshire County Council, through the national structure of Local Resilience Forums, is working in a multi-agency capacity to check and monitor local preparedness. As part of this work NYCC has asked that we share information coming from the sector on any emerging concerns and issues VCS organisations are facing. To provide your feedback please email us info@communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk.
EU Settlement Scheme information service
The eurights.uk service (funded by the European Commission Representation in the UK) will send a lawyer to speak at community organisations’ meetings of EU citizens about the EU Settlement scheme.
The EU Settlement Scheme information is available in over 25 EU languages. The eurights.uk service allows for a community group or community champion to book a lawyer to attend their event for free, provided at least 40 members of the European community (EEA or Swiss nationals) and family members have confirmed interest to attend. A video can be found on twitter.
