Ryedale Community Transport (RCT) aims to provide transport options and solutions for Ryedale residents, where no suitable alternative exists. In a rural district this is a vital service to improve the quality of people’s lives.
We provide a highly responsive, affordable and reliable transport service, helping residents to access local services – health, education, training and amenities, thereby reducing social isolation.
We are a medium-sized voluntary sector operation with around 20 staff and 75 volunteers. During 2016/17 we maintained a membership of more than 750 clients and provided over 27,000 passenger journeys with more than 125,000 km travelled.
Having recently undergone a business review, we need some more Trustees to help us tackle the challenging but exciting future ahead.
In particular, we are seeking a Chairperson and a Treasurer, someone with human resource skills and someone with marketing skills, but all enquiries are welcome. We embrace diversity and how our board of Trustees could reflect our client group.
