This week (2 – 6 November) is Trustees Week. Trustees’ Week is an annual event to showcase the great work trustees do and to highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. Community First Yorkshire are joining with others to profile the role and value of trustees.
We have heard from Development Officer Hilary Ashton as to why now is a good time for trustees to ensure they are aware of their roles and responsibilities, read that here.
In her blog, Lizzie Clapham profiles the volunteers who have been helping support organisations throughout the pandemic and suggests ways for people to get involved.
There are also a range of resources available from NCVO resources and training who are marking the annual celebration of trustees by running various online activities including a webinar, blog posts and profiling a new board review tool.
If you would like to find opportunities to become a trustee yourself, you can visit Volunteering in North Yorkshire.
We also have an interactive training workshop coming up in december on Being the Best Trustee. Find out more here.
