Community First Yorkshire will shortly be recruiting some additional posts to take forward new work – this is exciting news but presents a challenge for us as our offices near York are already full and we do not have a single spare desk. We are also finding we need a dedicated meeting room to handle the volume of internal meetings and to accommodate some of our external training delivery. Like all charities it is hard to plan more than one year ahead in the current climate so we are keen not to move to larger premises, but instead retain our existing office and take on some additional space in a new location. We could take on some serviced offices, but we thought we could be more creative and also invest the rent into the voluntary sector we support. So instead we are looking for a space that needs investment to refurbish to office standard and in return for our upfront investment we would seek a 3-5 year lease. The space would ideally have a separate entrance and our staff need to be able to make confidential calls so they cannot share an open office space. We are looking for:
- A central North Yorkshire position with nearby public transport
- 5-6 parking spaces and the option for overflow parking on training days
- The ability to connect to all services including excellent broadband and landline phones – we will consider paying for these connections
- Flexible space where we can have a training area / meeting table and also room for up to 5/6 desks – but we are open minded and would consider less
- Space for a small kitchen area
- If we would have some of your staff occasionally hotdesking with us we would also need a separate soundproof area for confidential client calls
- Access to toilets but not necessarily in our part of the office
If you think you might have a suitable and space and would like a confidential discussion please do contact Leah Swain our Chief Executive on 01904 704 177 or leah.swain@communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk by the end of November.
