Role: NEW TRUSTEES
Organisation: The Wharfedale Foundation
Hours: Our trustees attend four or five meetings a year, including an AGM / Open Meeting. Most meetings take place starting late afternoon / early evening at a central regional location such as Leeds.
Role Description: The Wharfedale Foundation is a grant-making trust established in 2009 (Charity no. 228031). It aims to fund projects in the Yorkshire and Humber region that address the divisions in our society by building communities, encouraging social cohesion, developing greater understanding of social justice and diversity, and promoting responsible use of the environment.
We want to expand our board of trustees and are looking for committed people keen to share our vision and willing to play an active role in developing the work of the Trust. We are looking for people with a range of skills and experience (whether gained in the third sector or a business/commercial role), and from backgrounds that represent the diversity of culture and geography within the region.
Applications from people with one or more of the following would be particularly welcome:
- A working knowledge of the voluntary and community sector
- Experience of assessing funding applications
- Experience of fundraising
To apply: If you would like to enquire about becoming a trustee, or any other matter, please contact our Administrator, Rachel Boggs, by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone: 07581 734692
