The Banking Standards Board (BSB) has published a consultation on ‘What do good banking outcomes look like to consumers?’
The purpose of this document is to consult on what the outcomes of good banking cultures look like to consumers. This will provide a framework that will then help BSB identify good practice to the benefit of consumers, the economy and society overall. It is aimed at consumer and civil society organisations and had been designed to be easily filled in for bodies which are often resource-stretched.
The consultation paper includes:
- a draft framework on consumer principles, outcomes and examples
- 14 questions; and
- an optional response template.
This consultation will be open until 26 January 2018. This consultation is open to all interested organisations and BSB are especially interested in hearing from organisations representing consumer and civil society organisations in particular.
The consultation paper can be found here.
You can respond to the consultation by emailing martin.coppack@bankingstandardsboard.org.uk. Please use the same contact address if you like to receive this consultation in a different format e.g. larger font. Opening the consultation using Adobe Acrobat Reader will allow you to make any responses directly in the document (if you desire), which you can save and return by email.
If you work with individuals there is also a consumer survey for them to fill in.
