We are pleased to be recruiting our first Delivery Manager to support the Head of Community Support and lead our team of skilled Development Officers.
The role will ensure the smooth, day to day, delivery of the support case load managed by a team of Development Officers, who provide information, advice and guidance to a wide range of voluntary organisations, community groups and individuals, mainly across North Yorkshire and also supporting rural village halls across South and West Yorkshire.
You will manage the volunteer support offer, a number of peer support networks, and contribute to a training offer and online resources which meets the needs of the sector.
You will ensure your team deliver a proactive, timely, effective and efficient response to client requests. Your team will look to you for mentoring and coaching support including on complex support cases. The senior management team will need you to provide accurate performance data and evidence based intelligence to help shape and develop the service offer. As a member of the Community Support management team you’ll take shared ownership of the service, collectively and collaboratively shaping new service offers, adapting delivery models, and providing exceptional client support.
The case work we undertake is very varied and at times complex, so you’ll need to have significant experience of providing a wide range of support to VCS organisations and social enterprises. Alternatively, you may be an experienced operational manager who can demonstrate a tried and tested ability to quickly and accurately assimilate large amounts of information to deliver advice on new topics. Either way you’ll need to demonstrate credible experience and skills to win the confidence of your team and the wider sector.
We are looking for an organised, analytical and solutions focussed manager who understands the voluntary and community sector and can manage a responsive service in a changing environment and sector needs, especially in this current crisis and the next recovery phase. You’ll need to lead, inspire and motivate a great team and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
This rewarding job offers the chance to make a positive contribution to inspirational organisations that are achieving amazing things with and for their communities.
