This is an exciting opportunity to work for an international humanitarian development NGO which was founded in 1991 in an office in the centre of the City of York.
We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Funding and Events professional to source funding opportunities, develop and manage funding bids and coordinate largescale fundraising events.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record of finding and writing successful funding bids, developing positive relationships with key sponsors and will be involved in fundraising from Trusts, Foundations, Lottery and Statutory funds.
You will be flexible, happy working independently but also enjoy working in collaboration with others to deliver large scale fundraising events.
Organised and efficient, an excellent administrator with good attention to detail and a willingness to get involved in different projects to meet the organisational objectives.
Proactive and self-motivated, your ability to plan and juggle competing priorities will be vital in meeting deadlines.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral; have a passion for persuasive writing and be able to analyse and interpret financial data.
